Initiatives

These initiatives are designed to align with critical and emerging security priorities, as well as the strengths of Berkeley Lab and the Department of Energy (DOE). Initiatives span technology design to deployment, driving for real-world impact and value.

Berkeley Lab partners with sister DOE laboratories, universities, industry partners, and agencies to drive forward Convergence initiatives in the national interest.

Each initiative has a conceptual timeline of 12 months and a lifespan of 2-3 years.
