Kjiersten Fagnan is the Chief Informatics Officer at the DOE Joint Genome Institute (JGI) and Data Science and Informatics Leader. She has served on the organizing committees for the ASCR Integrated Research Infrastructure – Architecture Blueprint Activity, the BERAC response to the charge on unified data, and the ASCR Future Computing Methodologies workshops. In 2018, Dr. Fagnan was part of the Gordon Bell prizewinning team led by Oak Ridge National Laboratory.
Ana Kupresanin directs the Scientific Data (SciData) Division in the Computing Sciences Area at Berkeley Lab. She has deep expertise in statistics, machine learning and artificial intelligence for national security applications, drawing on her extensive experience at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. Kupresanin is a Fellow of the American Statistical Association and a recipient of the 2025 Distinguished Achievement Award from the ASA’s Section on Statistics in Defense and National Security (SDNS).
